In a release to the Bombay Stock Exchange, Bajaj Auto said its export sales grew 16 per cent in the month of June to 1,56,074 units, which was the highest ever in June till date.
Total sales of Bajaj Auto grew 8 per cent annually to 3.31 lakh units in the month of June. Domestic brokerage house Motilal Oswal had estimated Bajaj Auto's June sales at 3.35 lakh units.
Motorcycle sales of Bajaj Auto grew 10 per cent to 2,87,582 units in the month of June.
As of 10.02 a.m., Bajaj Auto shares traded 1.93 per cent higher at Rs 2,575 apiece and was the top gainer on the Nifty.
