3:23 p.m.: Novertis India surges 18 per cent to Rs 855 reports suggest that its parent company is looking for delisting its Indian subsidiary.
3:14 p.m.: All stocks barring 2 on the Nifty-50 trade in the red. Tata Power, Bosch, Idea Cellular, Asian Paints and Punjab National Bank were among the top losers, down 4-5 per cent each.
3:05 p.m.: Sensex plunged 450 points to 26,382 and the Nifty cracked 153 points to trade at 7,971.
3:00 p.m.: Shrikant Chouhan, technical analyst with Kotak Securities says that one can go short on State Bank of India with stop loss at Rs 265.
